Meredith Thomas PR

The brief

Meredith Thomas got in touch and told us they were looking for an updated website. They wanted to keep the logo which we'd designed for them a while back and also the colour scheme which they'd had used on their business cards.

The solution

We set out to create Manchester's most stylish PR website using as many images as possible. We knew that the design should be simple which would allow users to visit the website quickly, grab the information they were looking for and get on with their day. We also integrated a Google Calendar into the site which saw much higher traffic levels at launch than even we had expected.

The testimonial

"Ho hum I thought when faced with writing my own website. Talk about physician heal thyself! Years of working on other people's webs and mine had whiskers on it. ( Did I really look like that 10 years ago!) But you put it off, don't you, because other things like clients get in the way. Until the point where it starts to affect your business. These days your website is the most important business card you have or can play.

"So I looked at the competition. What a variety of approaches I saw. Some downright incomprehensible. Gimmicky, flashy and saying zilch. (Get me to a studio, photograph me in an ostrich costume and see what a fun person I am to work with!). Or grey and dull. ( please let me send you to sleep in meetings). So which way to go?! Or not?!

"I was at the time working with BDM on a client project and they were redesigning the website. The work we did together gave me great confidence in their grasp of a brief and their ability to bring in what I needed without financial pain. I talked it over with BDM and we decided to play it straight. To dwell on experience and track-record and to forget the hype and hyperbole. Just tell it like it is. So hope that worked.

"The whole process was painless too. The service was prompt and attentive. The result was what I wanted and needed.

"I would not hesitate to recommend them because they aren't arsey creatives and listen to the client, putting their points in a non-hissy fit way. (I can throw my own toys out of the pram, thank you!)

"It was good teamwork and I love it when creative people gel with the client and enjoy the experience. I look forward to working with them again."
