Grovellings from Bella Towers

April 18th, 2011

Things have been a bit hectic here at Bella Towers of late so profuse apologies for the lack of updates! However, fear not dear reader, let’s get you right back up to speed with this run down of what we’ve been up to of late.

Let’s start with recruitment news. The wonderfully talented Greg Ashley has signed up to Team Bella as a Web and Graphic Designer. Greg came straight in to the side and made an immediate impact with his own unique style of spectacles.

Thanks to Greg, Richard and the rest of the team, we’re currently on a run of 4 pitch wins in a row. This has happened in such a short space of time that the production team are still calculating how many hours of sleep they’ll be losing in the next couple of months.

Among the many web highlights of recent times, we recently launched our biggest e-Commerce site to date. With hundreds of products on offer, Increase Confidence is one of the UK’s largest self confidence websites.

On the print front, the new design team has completed a plethora of property brochures. For a sample of the work, take a look at the interactive brochures for King’s Court and Renaissance Court.

In SEO news, a further 3 clients have joined us this month with another couple in the pipeline.

All in all, it’s been a great couple of months here so a big thank you to all our clients, old and new.

New branding for BDM Bella Design and Marketing

November 4th, 2010

BDM Bella Design & Marketing is delighted to launch its new company branding this week. We feel the new branding highlights the creative spirit of the company, whilst at the same time making it clear exactly what it is we do.

Bella rebranding

We thought we’d write a little about the design process we use when re-branding a company’s image so what better opportunity than to use our own branding as an example? Our old branding is shown above on the left.

We use a four-step process when re-branding which go a bit like this:

  1. Is there an issue with the way our current branding is perceived by the market? If so, what is that issue? We became aware that our branding was perceived as being slightly too masculine and that the market was referring to us as Bella rather than BDM.
  2. Draw up several branding options which the client then chooses from or uses as a basis to amend. Our logo monkey, Nigel, designed several great options. For all our work, both off-line and on-line, we offer unlimited amendments until the client is completely happy. This was also the case on our own re-branding.
  3. One option was decided upon by the Bella team which Nigel then continued to work on so it could be effectively integrated into all our off-line and on-line marketing material such as business cards as well as our website.
  4. Finishes such as spot UV were applied to the final design. These finishing touches make all the difference to the perception of a company. Our brand spanking new business cards are being printed as we speak. We’ll post a picture as soon as they arrive at Bella Towers.
